About the Role

Responsibilities:

1. Operations Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and implement operational strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the overall organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with senior management to determine operational priorities and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular analysis of operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

2. Process Optimization and Efficiency:
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures to meet or exceed targets.
- Streamline operations by eliminating redundancies and optimizing resource utilization.

3. Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Develop staffing plans, assign responsibilities, and ensure adequate workforce levels.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of resources to support operational needs.

4. Quality Control and Compliance:
- Establish and monitor quality control procedures to ensure consistent delivery of products or services.
- Implement quality assurance measures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and maintain inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages or excesses.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

7. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the operations department's budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
- Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve budgetary targets.

8. Risk Management:
- Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor and address safety and security concerns in the operational processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

- Proficiency in data analysis and operational software tools.

- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
